WELCOME TO THE ELIMINATION ROUND

FOR THE

BLOCK HEAD COMPETITION!

Our players out in the feild today are Brianna, Alyssa, and Jordan.
Brianna was eliminated, and now only Jordan and Alyssa will compete for the championship title!
They start off with a big block, then a little orange block, then a medium sized yellow block, and on top of that a medium sized green block. So far this is looking pretty easy competition, but now they step it up. They balance two skinny round orange blocks on top of each other. Alyssa screams, "BOOYAAH!" and succeeds in balancing a little red block on top of the two orange ones. Now Jordan attemps to place a bisized green block onto this, but fails. Alyssa screams, "BLOCK HEAD!" and she wins the elimination match and begins to move onto the final championship round where she will compete against the winners from the other tables.

WELCOME TO THE SECOND ANUAL
BLOCK HEAD COMPETION!

Our contestants today and Cheyenne, Kyle, and Alyssa.
The first block layed down was a blue large block. Alyssa places a yellow block and kyle places down the skinny orange one. Our camera crew (aka Jordan) films it all.
Alyssa tries a very risky move by placing a green block ontop of an orange round block. She succeeds, along with Kyle who places a blue blue block ontop of this.
Cheyenne loses, BLOCK HEAD
2ND ROUND
Making a cross like structure, Kyle and Alyssa take their turns. Balancing a blue block ontotop of this, Cheyenne takes her turn. Now, an orange block

Three sports are soccer, track, tennis.
What types of bonding are being used in the sport soccer?

Covalent because its two teams sharing the ball and trying to score goals.
What types are bonding are being used in the sport track?
Covalent and ionic bonds are used.
The ionic bond takes place when the boton in relays is passed to each runner.
It is covalent because runners feet are sprinting on the track there is a transfer of energy.

What types of bonding are being used in the sport tennis?
ionic because the energy from the racket to the ball.

Metallic - A metal reacts with a nonmetal. Attraction of positive ions and free moving electrons, and also a metal reacts with a nonmetal.
Ionic - Compounds have a crystal-lattice structure, theres a transfer of electrons.
Covalent- Theres an attraction between nuclei and shared electrons. Two or more nonmetals are involved.

Observations
CaCl2+H2O
- The water started to bubble at 26.8 degrees C.
- At the bottom of the test tube it was very cloudy.
- The Calcium Chloride went right to the bottom
-dissolved when stirred
NaHCo3+H20
- The water temperature started at 21.4 degrees
- The temperature dropped to 19.5
- When we put the sodium bicarbonate into the water it went straight to the botton.
- The water got all foggy.
